Welcome to the Reading with the Rays: Read your way to the ballpark Summer Reading program!
With baseball season and summer in full swing, the Tampa Bay Times Newspaper in Education department has again partnered with the Tampa Bay Rays, Suncoast Credit Union and the libraries in Charlotte, Citrus, Hernando, Hillsborough, Manatee, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk and Sarasota counties for a fun and exciting summer.
The Tampa Bay Times Newspaper in Education program also is proud to partner with the school districts in Charlotte, Citrus, Hernando, Hillsborough, Manatee, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk and Sarasota counties to promote the Reading with the Rays program and encourage students in grades Pre-K through 12 to read.
The Reading with the Rays program will encourage you to read more this summer and to visit the library regularly before you return to school in August. By reading books this summer, Charlotte, Citrus, Hernando, Hillsborough, Manatee, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk and Sarasota county students can circle the bases - first, second, third - and collect prizes as they go. Once you reach home base, you will win two tickets to see the Tampa Bay Rays at Tropicana Field!
Be sure to get your copy of Reading with the Rays: Read your way to the ballpark, which will be in your Tampa Bay Times newspaper on Sunday, June 2. You also can get a copy of the publication at your local library or at Tropicana Field.
Teachers and Summer camps counselors: If you would like copies of this publication for your summer reading classes or programs, please email [email protected].
